As you can tell from the customer review, the shake definitely tastes great and provides a great recovery drink from an intense workout. Your body needs a surplus of protein intake after a particularly hard workout to rebuild muscle fibers. That’s exactly what the purpose of Jay’s protein is for. But what about some cons?
The biggest con related to Jay Robb’s whey protein is simply the higher cost. We already hard that it tastes great, made with good all natural flavors, and has a higher quality of protein. However, it can cost more than other traditional protein powders.
However, this is a bit misguiding though because protein powders aren’t created equally.
In fact, some protein powders such as the popular GNC Protein shakes have been highly correlated to actually harm some people’s muscle rebuilding due to some of the chemicals they have in their shakes. In reality, I’ve found that you can consume less of Jay’s powders than other cheaper quality products and still get the same protein nutrition results.
Not to mention, most protein shakes just taste terrible and most times you don’t want to really drink them. In fact, the best way to drink a protein shake (or any drink really) is to consume it slowly. But most people gulp down their protein powders in one shot so they can get over its bad taste.
This just leads to an insulin spike in your blood stream and this actually triggers a fat creating response.
It’s much better than to use Jay Robb whey protein which you would actually enjoy drinking and consume slowly over time rather than in one gulp.
But, hey, if the cost is too much then I would recommend at least trying a protein powder with zero artificial chemicals and made out of protein isolate rather than concentrate.
